The internal combustion engine (and oil) appears to have peaked
I posted an article a week or two ago about how the internal combustion engine may have peaked in 2018 and here’s a long twitter thread (with articles I haven’t gotten to yet) describing in a bit more detail the remarkable gains that have been made by electric vehicles, and the surprisingly fast losses on sales of internal combustion engine vehicles. This appears to be very good news for those of us who think we should reduce our dependence on oil. While climate change appears to be an incoming disaster, it’s nice to see at least some positive signs on the environmental front.
And less dependency on oil is probably good from a national security perspective too. [Post edited by WahooMatt05 at 01/06/2019 8:17PM]
